Keats Estate and Letting Agents Take Robust Approach To Prevent Covid-19.

Our team at Keats are implementing measures against coronavirus and supporting landlords and vendors through this difficult time. It comes as the Residential Landlords Association and the National Landlords Association called on the government and lenders to agree a package of measures to support tenants and landlords affected by coronavirus.

In a joint statement, the Residential Landlords Association and the National Landlords Association says: “We are encouraging all landlords to work positively with tenants to provide support where needed throughout this difficult period. Landlords should be as flexible as they can to help tenants facing payment difficulties resulting from the impact of the coronavirus. To support landlords in this we are calling for a package of measures from government and mortgage providers.”

Rita Tinney Director of Keats Sales and Lettings confirms that Keats Estate and Letting agents have a robust process in place and commented: “It’s business as usual here, but with increased awareness of health and safety precautions. All tenants and contractors have been instructed to make us their first point of call should they need to self-isolate or test positive for Covid-19.

“The office is deep cleaned every evening and telephones, keys boards, door handles etc are wiped over at regular intervals during the day. We have hand sanitiser wipes on every desk.

"We currently have a no handshake policy and are keeping the recommended distance from any visitors to the office or during out of office appointments.

“Our property managers have put all routine property inspections on hold. Occupiers of both sales and rental properties are given the choice as to whether or not they will permit viewings, with both sellers and landlords updated accordingly.

“We have several contingency plans which are reviewed against Government advice and local circumstances twice each day. In the worst-case scenario, we have enough laptops for everyone to work from home. Meanwhile, our inventory provider Openhouse Inventories is still working, and we have an in-house qualified clerk should we need to back fill.”
